Images 6,8,9 - The visit to the East London Mosque coincided with prayer time, so everyone had to be very restrained and quiet. Shoes were removed to visit the prayer hall and the students were asked to photograph elements of the building but not the people praying.

Images 11,12,13,14,15 - Back in the classroom, Sarah led a series of workshops where the students created their own artwork about the visits. Making a series of 3-dimensional collages about both the buildings and the people they encountered helped the students to understand many of the complex emotions they experienced on the visits.

Images 16, 17, 18, 19 - The students were enthralled by Sarah's artwork when she returned to the school after two weeks to present it to them. They inspected both Faith Chests in detail and spoke eloquently about the experience of the visits and the workshops as well as their responses to the artworks themselves.
